We are currently experiencing a bug with our Sketchfab integration that causes all attempted uploads to Sketchfab to fail. The error message says: Sketchfab upload failed. Please try again later. We apologize for this bug - we're working closely with our friends at Sketchfab to correct it as quickly as possible.
In the meantime, there is a work around - you can use CraftMaster to export your 3D object as an .OBJ file, and then upload it to Sketchfab using a browser. See the instructions below for step-by-step details.
Work around for Upload to Sketchfab:
1. Launch CraftMaster and go to the 3D Workspace by clicking on the 3D Objects button on the left side of the CraftMaster window
2. Select the 3D object that you want to update by clicking on the Select 3D Object tool and then clicking on the desired object within the menu.
3. Click on the Current 3D Object tool and select the Export 3D button.
4. Below are OS-specific instructions for exporting a .OBJ model. IMPORTANT: Note that when exporting a .OBJ model, 3 files are created own your hard drive: modelname.obj, modelname.mtl, and master.png.
a. Windows: Select the desired location to store the exported files and type in the desired file name. IMPORTANT: Be sure to select .OBJ from the Save as type: pop-up.
b. macOS: Select the desired location to store the exported files and type in the desired file name. IMPORTANT: Be sure to add .OBJ as the file name extension to let CraftMaster know you want to export a .OBJ model.
5. Compress the three files created at export - modelname.obj, modelname.mtl, and master.png - into a single .zip file. Below are OS-specific instructions for compressing/zipping the files. Be sure to note where you stored the compressed/zipped file on your local hard drive.
a. Windows: Using Windows File Explorer, select all three files (modelname.obj, modelname.mtl, and master.png), right-click on one of them and select Send To and the choose Compressed (zipped) folder. This will create a compressed (zipped) file called modelname in the same location as the other 3 files.
b. macOS: Using macOS Finder, select all three files (modelname.obj, modelname.mtl, and master.png), right-click on one of them and select Compress 3 items. This will create a file named Archive.zip in the same location as the other 3 files - us the Finder to rename the .zip file to modelname.zip so it's easier to find later.
6. Go to your browser and load sketchfab.com.
7. Login to your Sketchfab account.
8. Click the Upload button at the top right side of the Sketchfab web page.
9. Click on the CHOOSE FILE button in the dialog box, select the modelname.zip file that you saved on your local hard drive, and click the Choose button. This will upload the .OBJ file and process it for sharing on Sketchfab.
10. When the processing is complete, you will see your object displayed in Draft mode on Sketchfab. To publish it, simply click the Publish button.
