I am running build (2017_04_01_09_58) and i don't get the volumes to work. Craftmaster detects the shields i placed and shows their names but does not show any volumes to select.

I just did a quick test with build 2017_04_01_09_58 and CraftMaster is seeing the Signs I place and recognizing two Signs with the same name as a Volume.
First of all, I assume your placing "Signs" (in your post you say "Shields").
Second of all, in order to define a Volume, both Signs have to have exactly the same text on them. For example, if one Sign says "Soccer Stadium" the other Sign also has to say "Soccer Stadium", spelled exactly the same way.
Please try again/confirm and if it still doesn't work let me know.

Yeah, i meant to write signs. English is not my native language and i couldn't make up the right word while writing that day.
I tried it several times but it didn't work. I always double checked that the signs have the exact same text on them.
Does this even work for MC 1.8.9? I could not find anything regarding the MC Versions that are supported!? But as Craftmaster shows the map (even when i use Forge and different Mods like Biomes o Plenty it shows the Mod's Biomes/Blocks) and even the signs are shown on the map, with a small frame around them and the text of the signs showing up at the coordinate display at the bottom of the window, i don't think this is the problem!?
I also found another problem, when i load a .OBJ-file into Craftmaster and then hit the update button in the 3D workspace the program just closes, no matter if i changed any values (size, palette,..) or not.
I tried to install all the windows prerequisite programs you delivered (win 7) but i already had all of them, or newer versions of them, on my system.

I found the part in the read me.pdf where it says it has only been tested on latest release (1.11+) so i guess it simply does not work on 1.8.9. But i wonder why it won't work, as it clearly finds the signs and is able to identify the text on them. It just does not create the volume from them.

So, we did some research and confirmed that the Sign file format has changed since version 1.8.9...is there any chance you could run on the latest version of Minecraft?
Regarding the failure with the OBJ file, is there any chance you could share your OBJ file so we can verify the problem? By the way, if CraftMaster is launching then you have all the correct pre-requisites, so that's not what's causing this problem. It's probably a content-specific bug, but we can't track it down unless we have your content.

Hi I had the very same issue. It seems that CraftMaster doesn't work properly with forge nor OptiFine (At least by me, I'm playing with MC 1.11.2 on OS X 10.11.6), it causes bad map rendering and, as mentioned above, program does not extract volumes. I turned off all mods and it worked perfectly.
